Committee Scope & Overview
National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of PRS College of Nursing is dedicated to developing social responsibility, leadership, and a spirit of voluntary service among students. Through a variety of community outreach programmes, health awareness campaigns, environmental initiatives, and social welfare activities, the NSS unit encourages students to contribute meaningfully to society while enhancing their personal and professional development. Guided by the Programme Officer and faculty members, the unit promotes the values of service, compassion, teamwork, and national integration.
NSS ACTIVITIES
- Blood donation camps to promote voluntary blood donation.
- Health awareness programmes on disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living.
- Eco -Friendly initiatives, including tree plantation, campus cleaning drives, and waste management campaigns.
- Disaster preparedness, relief, and rehabilitation activities to support affected communities during emergencies.
- Community outreach and social welfare programmes, including health camps, village adoption, visits to old age homes and orphanages, and awareness campaigns on public health and social issues.
