About the Department
The Department of Mental Health Nursing is committed to educating nursing students in the assessment, care, and rehabilitation of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The department emphasizes holistic care, therapeutic communication, psychological support, and evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices.
Students gain knowledge in mental health promotion, prevention of mental illness, psychiatric assessment, counseling techniques, and management of various psychiatric disorders. Clinical training provides opportunities to interact with patients in diverse mental healthcare settings under expert supervision.
The department aims to cultivate empathy, professionalism, and clinical competence while preparing students to address the growing mental health needs of individuals, families, and communities.
